Trial registries and initiatives

Trial listings are the most practical place to confirm whether a study is active, recruiting, completed, or withdrawn; they may also describe eligibility criteria, study locations, sponsorship, and the contact route provided by the study team. The ClinicalTrials.gov study registry is maintained by the U.S. National Library of Medicine and can be searched by intervention, condition, sponsor, or location.
For studies subject to European registration requirements, the EU Clinical Trials Register provides a separate official record. Registry entries can change, and a listing alone does not establish that a treatment is routinely available, appropriate for a particular person, or legally accessible in every European jurisdiction.
